Build your own tiny crime scene inspired by the famous Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death.

The Nutshell Studies

In the 1940s, Frances Glessner Lee began constructing a series of miniature crime scene dioramas, which became known as the "The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death." The collection of 19 dioramas were built to help law enforcement officers learn how to investigate crime scenes. Today, the Nutshell Studies are still in use and housed at the Maryland Medical Examiner's Office.Â
